An “Emily in Paris” actor is facing legal trouble in Japan.

American actor and playwright Jeremy O. Harris , who plays Grégory Elliot Duprée in “Emily in Paris,” was arrested in Japan in November on suspicion of attempting to smuggle illegal drugs into the country, per Reuters .

A customs officer at Naha Airport on Okinawa Island allegedly discovered 0.78 grams of crystal containing MDMA in Harris’ bag. According to Reuters, law enforcement confirmed that Harris, 36, remains in police custody.

It’s unclear whether Harris has admitted to the drug possession allegations or obtained legal counsel in Japan.
