Jimmy Kimmel is thanking President Donald Trump.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The late-night host opened his show on Thursday night with what he called “big news” that he ranked third globally on Google’s list of the top trending people of 2025.
Only musician d4vd, who is a suspect in a murder, and rapper Kendrick Lamar, who performed at the Super Bowl, ranked higher.
The company released its trending charts for 2025 this week. Kimmel, as he usually does, made plenty of jokes about the list, but he’s grabbing headlines for his remarks about Trump, who he’s crediting with his top three finish.
“None of this would ever have happened without the support of loyal viewers like President Trump, who has done so much to raise awareness of our show,” he said.
