BEAUMONT, Texas — Jefferson County will hold its 23rd annual Tree of Angels ceremony on Monday, December 8, at 6 p.m. at the Jefferson County Courthouse rotunda, 1149 Pearl Street. The event offers families affected by violent crime an opportunity to honor loved ones during the holiday season.

The ceremony, organized by the Coalition for Victims of Violent Crimes, allows participants to place angel ornaments or other decorations on a Christmas tree in remembrance of those lost to crime or abused individuals. The tradition originated in the Austin area and has become an annual gathering for those impacted by tragedies including homicides, DWI incidents, and other violent crimes.
