Tommy Stevens will be sticking around the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The short-yardage specialist has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him with the CFL team.
Stevens was an integral part of the Riders’ win in the 112th Grey Cup, scoring two rushing touchdowns in the 25-17 win over the Montreal Alouettes in Winnipeg, Man. The two touchdowns tied a Riders’ Grey Cup record for the most in the championship game. That honour is shared with running back Kory Sheets and wide receiver Geroy Simon.
The 28-year-old suited up for 14 regular-season games for the Riders in 2025, rushing for 183 yards on 50 carries and five touchdowns. Of the 36 times he was brought out for short-yardage attempts, he achieved a first down on 33 of them.
