A 21-year-old Asbury Park man was arrested and charged after he threatened a witness in a 2024 murder trial, authorities announced Friday, Dec. 5.

An investigation into Jaisun Brown began at the conclusion of the sentencing of a defendant for a homicide following a 2024 trial, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.

Investigators  uncovered multiple communications by Brown toward  or publicly referencing the witness and their role in the homicide trial, that were either threatening or suggestively violent in nature against the witness, Santiago said.

Brown is charged with witness retaliation, Santiago said.
