WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Boeing signs were installed outside of Spirit Aerosystems’ facilities on Friday as the aerospace merger moves toward completion this month.
Spirit confirmed this week the merger will close by the end of December. At the administrative building, Boeing signage replaced a Spirit sign.
Spirit employees said they have had time to process the deal, which has been in development since July 2024. Workers expressed cautious optimism about the transition.
“It’s hard to feel anything about it. We’ve been told about it for a while, and now that it’s happening, I think it’ll be a good thing,” said Aaron Cooper, a Spirit employee.
