GRANITE CITY, Ill. (First Alert 4) – A large police presence has prompted a delayed dismissal at a Granite City school.

The Granite City School District told First Alert 4 that Frohardt Elementary School on Johnson Road would be delaying dismissal until they are given an all-clear from authorities in the area.

A large police presence was seen in the 1500 block of Johnson Road starting around 2:30 p.m. on Friday. No other information regarding the police presence was immediately available.

First Alert 4 has multiple calls out to authorities and a crew heading to the area to gather additional information.
