The Michigan State Spartans look to grab a win on the mat on Friday night, as they pay a visit to the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs.

The Spartans entered the 2025-26 season hoping to bounce back after what was a rough campaign last year. MSU failed to win a conference match in 2024-25, finishing as the only team in the Big Ten to go winless, going just 4-10 overall during the season.

This is Michigan State’s first one-on-one meet in three weeks, as they have not had “solo” competition since losing to Rider in New Jersey on Nov. 16. The Spartans opened up their regular season with a shutout win over Long Island on Nov. 14.
