A shooting near downtown Phoenix left a 39-year-old man dead on Dec. 4, police said.
Officers arrived at the scene around 8:35 p.m. in the area of 2nd Street and Willetta Street for a shooting call.
They found an adult male, later identified as Jessie Johnson, with at least one gunshot wound, police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.
Police have not arrested a suspect. It was unclear what led to the shooting.
Phoenix homicide detectives took over the investigation. The department stated that rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
Anyone with information was asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip.
