Toronto’s subway system could be getting more ads, this time with a bit of a classic twist to it.

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is considering adding flipbook-style ads on tunnel walls as part of a non-fare revenue strategy, according to a proposal that is set to go before the TTC board next week.

According to the proposal , the transit agency is considering a 15-year contract with Canadian ad agency Adtrackmedia , which installed “in-tunnel motion advertising” on parts of Vancouver’s SkyTrain in 2022. Vertical lights will be installed on the tunnel walls, which will look like videos from inside moving subway cars.
