PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — A few years ago, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team wasn’t a team opponents feared. Instead, they were often seen as the underdogs.

This season, however, the narrative has changed dramatically.

After winning their second straight conference title, the Pioneers secured their first playoff victory since 2013. With the win, it became clear they were no longer underdogs.

“There were some pretty serious conversations about what’s holding us back, what we’re trying to do and what this thing is going to look like,” said Head Coach Ryan Munz.

Now, the Pioneers are preparing for the third round of the playoffs, carrying a spirit built on brotherhood and resilience.
