The Dallas Cowboys needed wide receiver George Pickens to step up and perform well in Thursday night’s game against the Detroit Lions after wide receiver CeeDee Lamb left with a concussion. Pickens failed to deliver in the 44-30 loss, which all but ended Dallas’ playoff hopes. His performance drew criticism from Amazon NFL analyst Richard Sherman .
Sherman criticized Pickens during the “Thursday Night Football Nightcap” post-game show for his five-catch, 37-yard performance, questioning his effort.
“George Pickens, throughout the game, especially late in the game, just looked uninterested in playing football,” Sherman said. “That’s what you can’t have if you’re going to be a superstar. If you want to be the best receiver in the National Football League, you can never be disengage
