A 31-year-old Saskatoon man allegedly tried to steal an item from a business Thursday evening in the city’s Haultain neighbourhood.
According to police, officers were called about 9 p.m. to the 2000 block of 8th Street East where “a man was being held by security guards.”

“It was reported the male attempted to steal an item and when confronted, he threatened the guards with a knife,” said the police in a statement.
The man faces a charge of robbery, noted police.
