England are set to kick-off their World Cup campaign against Croatia, aiming to end a 60-year trophy drought. The groups for the upcoming tournament were confirmed in an elaborate ceremony held by FIFA in Washington DC on Friday evening.
Following a perfect qualification campaign, the Three Lions now know their opponents, having been drawn into Group L. Their first match will be against Croatia, with the game set to take place in either Toronto or Dallas.
The draw also pitted England against Panama, a team they faced during 2018, and Ghana. While the opponents are known, the exact locations of the matches remain uncertain.
