LOS ANGELES -- Honoring the best in cinematic, televised, and streaming achievement, the nominations for the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards were announced on Friday.

"Sinners" leads the film contenders with 17 nominations, nearly matching the record of 18 that "Barbie" achieved two years ago.

"Adolescence" tops the TV categories with six nods.

"Abbott Elementary" and "Only Murders in the Building" were nominated for Best Comedy Series. "Abbott" actor Chris Perfetti nabbed a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

"Andor" and "Paradise," along with their leads Diego Luna and Sterling K. Brown, will face each other in the Best Drama Series and Best Actor in a Drama Series categories.
