Friday marks one year since a massive fire swept through the Camp Small wood recycling facility.
Those who run Camp Small said the fire was devastating at the time, but they believe it has helped the facility become a better and safer place.
What began as a small brush fire grew into a massive scene with flames reaching high into the air. No one was injured in the blaze that Baltimore City fire Chief James Wallace said at the time was wind-driven, a challenge and quickly spreading.

The fire forced the closure of Interstate 83 and led to the suspension of light rail service in the area.
