JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) -- A Beloit man was charged in Rock County Court with attempted first-degree intentional homicide as well as a felony firearm charge on Tuesday, in connection to a shooting that happened over the summer .

According to a criminal complaint, on July 18, 2025, officers were sent to the area of Elm Street and Roosevelt Avenue for a report of gunshots. They found six shell casings in the area.

Meanwhile, a man showed up at the fire station on S. Afton Road with "multiple" gunshot wounds. He was treated there and taken to the hospital.

He told police a vehicle had been following him before the shooting.

Police identified and located that vehicle using nearby surveillance video, as well as witness testimony. It was found abandoned in Rockford, Illinois.
