MADISON (WKOW) — Gov. Tony Evers has ordered flags in Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on Dec. 7 to honor National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

“Today, we honor and remember the more than 2,000 individuals who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor, including over 50 of Wisconsin’s own," said Evers. "Over 80 years later, we will never forget."

Evers also proclaimed Dec. 7 as "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day" in the state. The executive order will be in effect from sunrise to sunset.
