A man was accused of killing his girlfriend after he called authorities to report she was suffering from a drug overdose in Hayward, police said Friday.
On July 19, police said 42-year-old Michael Flunoy of Hayward called 911 to report that 46-year-old Susana Vallejos of Lathrop, was suffering from a drug overdose at his home on Highland Boulevard and requested help.
Members of the fire and police departments arrived at the home and found Vallejos unresponsive and not breathing in Flunoy’s bedroom, according to authorities.
Police said Vallejos was pronounced deceased. Authorities noted Flunoy and his roommate, David Lynn, were contacted inside the home, but officers noted some inconsistencies in their statements.
