Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
SHELBY TWP. – For the second time in three seasons, Utica Eisenhower’s boys hockey team has had to forfeit early season games.
The forfeits were announced Thursday morning by the Michigan High School Athletic Association, which made the adjustments on its website, indicating Eisenhower’s 5-0-0 overall start has been vacated and leaving the Eagles essentially starting over. The MHSAA verified Friday that Eisenhower did use at least one ineligible athlete and that Eisenhower officials were notified on Wednesday, but did not release any other specific information of their ruling.
The ruling was that the school used two ineligible players who transferred from another Macomb County school and moved residences, but the paperwork was not submitted c
