Musician, actor, visual artist and entrepreneur Tyler, The Creator will be honored with the Innovator of the Decade Award at Variety ’s annual Hitmakers celebration on Saturday, Dec. 6.

“We’re recognizing Tyler for his completely unique and unmistakable creative vision, which we first saw with Odd Future nearly 15 years ago, and extends across every discipline he touches,” said Variety executive music editor Jem Aswad. “His lyrics, music and production, most recently on his two albums “Chromakopia” and “Don’t Tap the Glass”; his mind-bending videos and stage sets; his film and TV work, from his comedy show ‘Loiter Squad’ to the animated series ‘The Jellies!’ to his forthcoming appearance in Josh Safdie’s A24 feature film ‘Marty Supreme’ (also starring Timothee Chalamet); and his work
