LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - This week, we’re keeping it sweet with a Pecan pie cheesecake that’ll have your guests lining up for seconds.
Cheesecake is one of those desserts where you either love it or leave it. But if you try out my version, I think it’ll win over the nay-sayers.
First, you’re going to want to make a Graham Cracker crust in a 9-inch springform pan.
Then, for the pie filling, add butter, Karo syrup, eggs, and a little vanilla extract. I also like to hype it up with a notch of bourbon, though that’s optional.
The next step is the actual cheesecake. You start with 3 bricks of Philadelphia cream cheese at room temperature. Don’t mess with low fat versions, the holidays are not time to be worrying about your waistline, that’s for the new year.
