A crop-killing September snowstorm came first and unpaid insurance premiums precluded coverage, according to witness testimony in Justice Court, during the fifth day of a scheduled 10-day trial in the case of Bozeman attorney Michael Rabb on Friday.
Prosecutors used the demonstration to argue hemp crops contracted by defunct processor startup Isotex were unprotected, alluding misleading practices kept investors and farmers in the dark on risk and feasibility.
Rabb is accused of conspiring or operating a pyramid promotional scheme, false claims to a public agency, operating as an unlicensed commodities dealer, securities fraud, theft and forgery for Texas-based Isotex Health LLC in 2019 and 2020.
