A stabbing near a NoDa Charlotte light rail station sent one person to the hospital this afternoon and temporarily shut down Blue Line service.
According to CMPD, officers responded around 4:50 p.m. to the 1900 block of Brevard Street near the 25th Street Station. They found a victim suffering from a stab wound and requested immediate medical assistance. Medic transported the victim to a hospital, where they remain in critical but stable condition.
The Charlotte Area Transit System paused all trains at the 25th Street stop as investigators secured the area. CATS implemented a bus bridge between the CTC Station uptown and 36th Street in NoDa to maintain service during the investigation. Full rail operations resumed at 6:40 p.m.
