The stage is set for an explosive rematch as the Duncanville Panthers (10-1) and Waxahachie (11-1) clash in Saturday’s UIL 6A Division 1 state quarterfinal at Midlothian Stadium.
This highly-anticipated showdown features two Dallas-area powerhouses with championship aspirations and recent history between them.
Waxahachie stunned Duncanville 28-27 in their district opener back in September, handing the Panthers their only loss of the season. Since that setback, Duncanville has been on a mission, most recently dismantling Klein Collins 34-7 in last week’s regional semifinals. Waxahachie, meanwhile, survived a nail-biter against Cypress Ranch, prevailing 38-31 in overtime to reach this round.
With Duncanville seeking revenge and Waxahachie aiming to prove its earlier victory was no fluke,
