Devin Dreeshen, Smith’s transportation boss, is looking at a new provincial law cracking down on bike lanes being planned that would take away lanes of traffic or parking.
The law could also allow for the removal of existing bike lanes if they are affecting traffic flow or not being used enough.
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” says Dreeshen, starting to lose his patience with Calgary city hall paper shufflers, as many of us already have.
