DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - It's the Christmas season, and numerous locales will have a parade this weekend. While the weather will not be as cold as recently, it will remain below average.
To go along with area Christmas parades, is Mother Nature's own clipper parade. Clippers are fast-moving storms that usually have limited precipitation associated with them. So, while only clouds will dot the landscape on Saturday, the first of a parade of clipper storms will arrive Saturday night. A combination of snow, sleet and rain is expected through Sunday morning. Travel will become slippery for some, but accumulation will be rather small. Southern tier locales will have little to no accumulation while a couple countryside areas of northern Ford and Iroquois counties can have an inch or two.
