KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Two Rivers Public Health Department has reported five COVID deaths in their district for the current respiratory season as officials monitor infection trends from October through April.
The respiratory season, which runs from October to April, has shown varying patterns compared to previous years, according to health officials.
“So, we actually have in our district five COVID deaths for the season. But it’s hard to compare season to season because sometimes data isn’t apples to apples,” said Jacki Haley, Clinical Section Manager at Two Rivers Public Health.
Current hospitalization rates remain low
Health officials said current hospitalization and testing rates are lower than previous periods.
