A proposed development aimed at LGBTQ seniors located at 1939 Market Street has been recommended to receive state funding to kickstart its construction.

After twice seeing its funding application rejected via a California program, a LGBTQ affordable senior housing project in San Francisco is expected to win approval this month. The money will help to kickstart construction on the 187-unit development to be built on a prominent corner lot in the city’s upper Market Street corridor.
