One person died in a Shoreline house fire Friday morning, according to the city’s Fire Department.

Crews responded to the burning home shortly after 8 a.m. in the 1800 block of North 205th Street.

“Entry was extremely difficult due to a large volume of personal belongings obstructing the doors and pathways inside the residence,” the Shoreline Fire Department wrote on Facebook.

Firefighters found the sole resident and got him out of the building, but he had died, the department wrote.

A crew stayed on scene to prevent any flare-ups.
