MOORHEAD — The Concordia Cobbers buried three unanswered goals to defeat St. Mary's (Minn.) 4-1 in MIAC men's hockey on Friday night at Moorhead Sports Center.

Talan Plante opened the surge with a goal at 1:38 in the third and Patrick Dunaiski added another at 2:05. Kaleb Pitman put the game on ice with an empty-netter.

Concordia's Tucker Skime scored a shorthanded goal at 16:31 into the first period. St. Mary's evened the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal off the stick of Joona Juntunen.

Cobbers goaltender Noel Olsonawski made 23 saves, while St. Mary's netminder Adam Prokop stopped 43 of 46 shots faced.

Concordia (3-5-1, 1-3-1 MIAC) closes out the two-game series against St. Mary's at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Moorhead Sports Center.
