WAYNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- The chill in the air didn't stand a chance against the glow of hundreds of twinkling lights, officially kicking off the holiday season in Wayne.
"It's not usually this cold, but as you can see, everybody's still out and enjoying themselves," James Turner said.
And the bitter cold made Santa Claus feel right at home, as a fire truck escorted him down North Wayne Avenue. Crowds of families and friends - some perched on shoulders to get a good view - packed the street and sidewalks Friday night for this annual Christmas tradition, led by our very own Ducis Rogers.
"It's a huge turnout, which is amazing. This is what community is all about, especially this time of year," said Matt Gorman with Main Line Sound & Video, the sponsor for the event.
