DALLAS — The city of Dallas published a memo to the mayor and city council Friday evening giving a first look at the new arena planned to host the Dallas Wings .

Dallas Memorial Auditorium is part of an ongoing plan by the city to revitalize the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center in downtown.

Design development has been completed by architecture and engineering teams, with both now preparing to move into construction documents, according to the memo.

According to the memo, interior planning of the building focused on the requirements of an WNBA area and team needs, as well as the flexibility needed for a wide range of events. The arena's seating is designed to support multiple layouts, such as basketball, centerstage and end-stage events.
