A person was shot twice Thursday night on the 1000 block of Madison Street in Annapolis, police say.
The Annapolis Police Department responded around 9 p.m. to a report of a contact shooting. The person was shot twice in the leg and was taken to a hospital, according to a news release.
The victim is in stable condition, according to police.
Kortlan Jackson, a spokesperson for the department, said Annapolis Police had not identified any suspects as of Friday afternoon. He said investigators do not yet know what led to the shooting.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, Jackson said.
