TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Two weeks after David Dean stepped down as head coach at Lanier County, the Bulldogs have a new man in charge: Marcus Gowan.
Gowan spent the last season at Gordon Central, where he led the Warriors to a playoff appearance. Gordon Central finished the year 7-4. The lost to Jasper County in the first round of the playoffs.
If his name sounds familiar in South Georgia, it’s because it is. Gowan previously coached as co-offensive coordinator at Valdosta.
He will start in Lakeland in January. Lanier County finished this season 2-9. They fell in the first round of the playoffs to Schley County.
