Jace Bukowski stays calm and collected when it comes to his confidence on the court.
He may just be a sophomore, but Central Square coach Beth Bonin said Bukowski makes a lasting impact as a leader and a captain.
Backed by Bukowski’s 27 points, the Redhawks won 68-65 over Mexico in overtime on Friday.
“I’ve always told Jace that he knows he’s a good player, so the next step in his game is being a leader,” Bonin said. “I told him not to force anything and let the game come to him.”
Mexico led 37-30 at the break. Central Square turned things around with a 19-10 third quarter, giving the team a 49-47 advantage in the process.
