The Riverside Local Schools Board of Education in Painesville Township has taken additional steps toward firing Superintendent Christopher Rateno, though the district has not released any information about why.

According to reporting from 3News media partner Cleveland.com , the process began before Thanksgiving, when the board met in a closed-door session and later voted to require Rateno to attend a pre-termination meeting — a step required under Ohio law before a superintendent can be dismissed.
