LAGRANGEVILLE — For a team looking to find level water early in the season, the Admirals are floating fine after a fantastic Friday night.
After dropping their first game of the year, Arlington High School (2-1) has won two straight and opened up its home slate in emphatic fashion with an utterly dominant 52-30 win over Ramapo High School. Suffocating the Gryphons (0-1) early-and-often, the Admirals took a 22-point lead at halftime before cruising to the win.
"Our defensive effort, that's always something we've prided ourselves on. If you're going to play us, you're going to earn your points," Jamie Feicht, the head coach of Arlington said following the win, noting the team's defensive intensity as a key cause for victory. "We buy into it."
