CHICAGO, Ill. — The Michigan Tech Huskies women’s basketball team saw four players reach double-figures, highlighted by the second double-double of the season by sophomore guard Kendall Standfest and a career-high eight assists from senior guard Soraya Timms in a 64-48 GLIAC-opening victory at Roosevelt Thursday evening.
The Huskies were led by Timms with 14 points and eight assists as senior forward Janie Tormanen and sophomore guard Ella Mason added 13 points apiece. Standfest contributed 11 points and a team-leading 13 rebounds.
Michigan Tech snapped a two-game losing streak, elevating to a 5-2 overall standing and a 1-0 start to league play, as Roosevelt dropped to 1-4 and 0-1 in the GLIAC.
