Sadly, the likelihood is that someone you know will get you something a bit rubbish for Christmas . But, ultimately, it's fine; you didn't have to pay for it, and you can potentially re-gift it to someone for their birthday, or save it for next Christmas if you have space. However, if someone who is meant to know you really well gets you something naff, it can feel like a major kick in the teeth.
That's what happened when one woman found out what her husband had planned to get her for December 25, and rather than treating her to a personalised bottle of champagne , or a timeless piece of jewellery, it was something she couldn't care less about.
