A brand new Christmas event is being held in Swansea city centre this weekend. Fire and Ice Festival will take place on Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, with a host of activities and performances taking place designed to suit all ages.

A schedule of events has been published, which will run between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and 11am and 4.30pm on Sunday. Here, we've put together an at-a-glance guide of everything you need to know about the event.

What's taking place?

Visitors can follow a trail of ice sculptures, capture magical moments in a giant snow globe and try their hand at interactive ice carving.
