Proposals for two live-work concepts — one focused on the arts, the other on tech — are on the table for the midtown campus, which after lying dormant for years is suddenly buzzing with activity.

The pitches are two of the five total bids submitted for seven out of eight pieces of land the city put up for sale or lease in April for purposes outlined in the midtown master plan. At its Dec. 10 meeting, the City Council will be asked to vote on entering into exclusive negotiation agreements with the respective developers.

Both proposals, shared with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Commission at its Wednesday meeting, include housing, as well as several other projects that have yet to be brought forward.
