Significant snowfall is forecast for parts of England later this month.

Weather charts suggest a wintry weather system is on the way, bringing heavy snowfall for large parts of the north of England.

Towns and cities like Leeds, Preston and Blackpool could be blanketed on Thursday, December 18, according to WXCharts.
