Do games get any bigger than this? After a year of seeing multiple different matchups projected, shakeups, and changes, the SEC has found its way back to the conference championship that it is intended to have.

The conference's two best programs, the Georgia Bulldogs (11-1), will meet the Alabama Crimson Tide (10-2) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, with massive College Football Playoff implications at stake.

The first meeting between these two this year saw Alabama win 24-21. While that win is likely buoying Alabama's College Football Playoff case, it doesn't carry much weight now. These are different teams.

Georgia has turned up the intensity on defense and is dominating the way that many expect from a Kirby Smart defense. That is a tough matchup for an Alabama offense that hasn't cracked 30 points in its last five games, aside from a late-season cupcake against Eastern Illinois.

Can Ty Simpson deliver? The Alabama quarterback has over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns this year. He is carrying the offense, which is struggling horribly on the ground, as they run for 3.7 yards per carry, which is very un-Alabama.

The way Georgia's defense has been playing, they are bound to get pressure and cause a mistake or two. It isn't a matter of if, but when, really. The Bulldogs get the big play late and get a little more from the run game to secure a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff and send Alabama to a nervy Sunday awaiting its playoff hopes.
