During the winter months, natural food sources for birds and wildlife become increasingly scarce. If you've indulged in a Christmas dinner and have plenty of leftovers, you can put some of it out in the garden to assist robins and other birds during their harsh winters.

However, there are certain elements of a Christmas dinner that should never be given to animals, as they can cause illness.
