Which? ranked it within the eight best Christmas markets in the UK, based on the highest ranked UK cities in its survey of more than 4,000 visitors. The consumer champion said: "You could argue that nowhere embraces the festive season quite so wholeheartedly as Edinburgh, with the smell of mulled wine (and the sound of delighted screams from fairground rides) present from the East to the West of the city centre, giving it a uniquely Christmassy feel."
