OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcycle rider suffered critical injuries in a crash early Saturday in Osceola County that led to the death of his passenger, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on S. Orange Blossom Trail, south of Parkgate Drive, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, a 2024 Suzuki GSX-8S was traveling southbound on S. Orange Blossom Trail — operated by a 30-year-old Orlando man with a 27-year-old Kissimmee woman riding as a passenger — when it rear-ended a 2021 Buick Enclave ahead of it that the Orlando man had allegedly failed to slow for.
The impact caused the man and woman to be thrown from the bike, the report states. Both of them were taken to the hospital, where the woman later died, troopers said.
