Detroit – By the time the Tigers’ front office sets up shop at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando Sunday ahead of Major League Baseball’s annual Winter Meetings, president Scott Harris and his lieutenants will have already settled some sticky internal debates – the resolution of which will shape the scope of their activity this week and beyond.

Priority One, as expressed by both Harris and general manager Jeff Greenberg, is to beef up the pitching staff, both in the rotation and bullpen. One of the internal debates impacting that search was how to use young right-handers Keider Montero and Troy Melton.
