President Donald Trump, a man who’s overseen the killings of dozens of people on boats over recent months , was awarded a “peace prize” by FIFA on Friday. It’s was an absurd gesture from the international soccer body to placate our childish president and his disappointment in not winning the Nobel Peace Prize, but at least it briefly gave us some funny memes.

It’s strange when you step back and think about how far we’ve come. During Trump’s first term, the world saw the recently inaugurated U.S. president touching a glowing orb while visiting Saudi Arabia and it was considered unique enough that it lit up the internet for weeks.
