Harvey Elliott was handed yet another blow as his loan spell away from Liverpool continues to not go to plan. The Reds playmaker left Anfield during the summer transfer window to complete a loan move to Villa Park.
Elliott's move also includes an obligation to buy for Villa worth £35million. However, there are suggestions this will only become active if Elliott was to make 10 appearances for Villa, which is looking increasingly unlikely with each passing gameweek.
Saturday saw Villa face Arsenal in the early kick-off at Villa Park, with the home side recording a 2-1 win over the Premier League leaders thanks to goals from Matty Cash and Emi Buendia.
